I have a 1994 225 Johnson ocean pro. I'm looking at a 2000 200hp Johnson ocean pro in grate shape and low hours. I know I can put the 225 carbs on the 200 but do I need to change the front half to and anything else? Will the years parts interchange to?

Thinking you can make a 200 into a 225? It might not be that easy, besides what's wrong with your current 225?

While the the 200 and 225 share the same Displacement, that doesn't mean that they are made up of Identical parts, except the Carbs. The Block could have slightly different Porting, Pistons may be different too. Exhaust Tuning is another Variable. Intake Plenums might be different too, Also Cylinder Heads maybe. Little things like Throttle Linkages have been known to be different between HP ratings on same Displacement motors.

You need to go thru each Engines OEM parts lists and look line by line for differences
