Carburetor clean procedure question

If you remove the idle mixture screw and blow air through (with the bowl removed) will the air penetrate all the idle passageways in the carburetor?

Probably not. A better place to squirt some carburetor cleaner is up the idle tube which leads directly into the idle mixture passages. You have to take the fuel bowl off to see it. Then follow up with some compressed air. Be very careful of the idle tube. It's easily damaged.
