carburetor float hinge pin question

I know that this is kinda stupid question but can you not get a metal hinge pin instead of that crappy teflon(or whatever its made of)pin. if so where or can I use something else.thank you

I never had a prob with the teflon ones. What kind of a prob are you having ??

it took me an act of congress to get the teflon one out and then reinstalling it was just the same. I would rather have a metal one. is there an old trick to removing them and reinstalling them

A very small punch will take it out and a very small hammer will put it in.

it seems to me that the teflon pin swells up. so i cant get a metal pin for my carbs?
