I’m looking to replace my carburetor on my 2006 19’ bayliner with a mercruiser 3.0 I/o Engine. I’m sure it’s just me but it’s really hard to find a site that lets me put my boat In so it’s easy to find parts... does anyone know which Sierra carburetor I have to buy?

Being a 2006 you ought to have what is known as a Turn Key Start Carburetor which is designed by Mercruiser and without searching to see if things have changed "recently" I don't believe you'll find another new one (Carb) from a different manufacturer or brand name like Sierra Marine, etc....In looking further there are certain Sierra parts kits like 18-7098-1 - Carburetor Kit, 3302-804844 Plus a Mallory 9-37612 kit that matches the Sierra #...Also number such as 18-7202 - Float 1397-5837, 18-7859 - Filter, 3302-9033, 18-2552-9 - Gasket 27-33179 2-Pack, 18-4264 - Pipe Plug, 3/8-18 NPT.

I also see numbers next to the Merc carb part numbers that area misrepresented that have the carb part number then goes on to show parts kits numbers as mentioned here for the 3.0((18-7098-1 - CARB KIT - Replaces Mercrusier #3302-804844002.

One thing you could try doing is inputting your engine serial number at the top right of the following link to help locate your engine parts, find the carb part numbers and then search the numbers online for best deal, etc..., https://www.mercruiserparts.com/

With all the headaches I tried to mentioned above :faint2:, another lower cost way of getting into another carb that fits is find a remanufactured carb such as this for example, https://flyingfishcarburetors.com/Y38-84Mercruiser.htm

Good luck.

With a TKS carb, visit your local mercruiser dealer.

However why do you think that you need a new carb vs a simple carb kit and a little elbow grease

+1 per Scott above. Carbs don't wear out. Some choke or throttle plate shaft bushings may go, but rarely. Carbs can get cruddy and have blocked passages. All fixable with a kit and a good cleaning.
