carburetor issues?

1987 searay with a 5.7 and a quadrojet carburetor, the carburetor was rebuild by a company, I start the engine and I see a lot of smoke, any advice

did you set the choke and adjust the carb after the rebuild? you should also do a tune up and check the timing prior to any carb adjustments. I recommend a in water test to make sure the optimum performance is achieved.
