I am in the process of redoing the inside of my boat and have removed the old carpet and scraped all the loose adhesive off and gone over with a wire wheel. on the sides they used rough almost like corrogated fiberglass that makes it a pain to get off any ideas? Or should I just get a good primer and go over it. I don't want to weaken it by sanding it all flat.

also does anyone know what if any primer to use with evercoat skid no more? Thanks Jim

Are you going to recarpet or are you going to use skidnomore? If carpet then just relay the carpet with more glue. The corigation is called roving. YOU SHOULD NOT BE SANDING THAT FLAT! Thats real thick glass fibers and you will want to fill the weave, with what?, I don't know. Usually epoxy, but on the sides it will run. You will need to thicken with Cabosil or microballons.

Re: carpet adhesive remover?

I am going to use the skid no more found it locaclly for about $35/gal at the local body shop supply house we deal with at work. I didn't sand it smooth figured it was that way for a reason. its only on the sides that its like that. I'm not making a show boat so I don't think i will fill the weave with anything but paint :D thanks for the info. realgun your boat is looking good.
