I've seen on this forum where carpet on the sides of the boat have been removed, looks like a ton of work. I would like to keep the carpet there, can I dye it? and with what dye?
I've used Rite dye on a lot of hunting projects, can I dye this marine carpet and will it hold in this marine carpet?

Re: Carpet Dye

dont know.....its worth a try.

if it doesn't work.....it will only cost you a few bux and your only other choice is to rip the carpet out and replace it any how.

replacing carpet isnt hard.....its just getting the old stuff off thats a pita

Re: Carpet Dye

Thanks Oops. I'm going to try applying dye with a hand pump bug sprayer. I'm sure it will look good for the fall, then I'll have to replace it in the future.

Re: Carpet Dye

Roughshot,

Auto parts stores carry spray dyes for vinyl, upholstery and carpets. I recommend using that over other fabric dyes.
