Carpet issues

Posted in the Tahoe area, but thought I would post here also.
I have a 2006 Tahoe Q4 S/F- the floor area is carpeted and is a pain to deal with. Have to let completely dry each time or really stinks.Have any of you removed the carpet on this type of boat? Wondering what floor is under it?

If the carpet gets wet a lot, its good to replace it with marine vinyl or gel coat the deck. I don't know about your boat specifically, but most don't have a lot of fiberglass/gel coat under the carpet.

Yes, carpet gets stinky fast. Especially when its salt water.
