Nearly down to the bare wood (and in some cases it is bare wood) I don't "slid" my boat on or off the bunks. I position the boat over the bunks and lift. Is the bare wood harmful to my hull? Thanks, Sam

The carpet is there to help eliminate scratches to the hull. lift or not always the chance of a splinter or worse yet crack in the would to dig deep.
