Hi again, have the foam almost out and want to order vinyl ,(I had carpet but my buddy helping with boat said the vinyl help keep boat dryer... My concern is will it get to hot for the dog to lay on??). I have been to the site "********" and am wondering if anyone else has used them or is there another place to shop for my boating supplies??

that's my new fishing buddy...:)

Ayuh,... If Fishin' is anywhere in the equation, Carpet has no place in yer boat,...

Go with Vinyl, in lighter colors,... I prefer earth tones to hide dirt,...

What kind of boat? How is it used the majority of time? Is there a Lot of In and out of Water use? Does the interior see a lot of wet dripping bodies or do you just get in at the dock and cruise around all day? For me it's all about use. Carpet is fine for a cruiser, not so much for fishing and wakeboarding!!!!

All I use my boat for is fishing,...........

When I rebuilt it I put vinyl in for ease of maintenance,....

And it is easy to maintain,...

BUT I HATE IT,............Never do it again,...........

It is light grey and hot as heck in the summer,...

And slippery when fall and winter fishing in a snow storm,....

Never will I use vinyl in a boat again,.....

Just my opinion,..............

Im about to redo the carpet in my boat...this is what I'M going with. I've actually seen it and walked on it in a boat..and from what the boat owner told me...it's what I want. He's a fishing/hunting guide here in Louisiana, so comfort, useability, something that doesn't get frying pan hot, easy to clean and durable are all factors in decking material.

Good luck with that 3M peel and stick adhesive backing in a marine environment.

It's up to you, obviously, but I've never understood carpet in a boat. Mine has no carpet and I hose mud/sand/food/drinks/blood/bird poop out of it all the time. Would be nasty if I had carpet
