Hello Guys. I have a 1968 fabuglas 16' Tri Hull. I really want to put some carpeting in the boat at some point. What is the best carpet to use? and what type of adhesive would I need to use?

Re: Carpeting

depends on your budget....you can go with marine if you want the best....

then use a notched trowel and exterior carpet adhesive....at that point ....once the carpet it down....if you roll it...or concrete block it.....it will last years

Re: Carpeting

carpet in a boat is like walking bare foot on the little mat the wife puts around the boys bath room toilet.

Ah! I just remember a freinds boat who had carpet in it looked very nice and was comfortable. Although the boat was a brand new Malibu Wake setter so who knows what it will look like in a couple years!

Re: Carpeting

The last time I bought carpeting (2-3 years ago) I found the best deal at www.marinecarpeting.com (go figure). They had several different grades and deliver to your door reasonably. I bought the cheapest grade since I didn't anticipate staying pretty too long. It has held up very nicely so far (except the stains!).
