Cavalier turn signals

Sons '91 Cavalier's turn signal quit working. Usually no problem right? Checked and made sure that all his bulbs were okay, changed the yellow flasher fuse under the dash, and even replaced the turn signal mechanism itself. Sucker still doesn't work and I can't figure out why. Anyone have any suggestions? The four way flashers work.

Be sure you changed the right flasher. The emergency and turn signals use different flashers. The emergency signal flasher is located under dash panel left side of steering column. The turn signal flasher is located under dash panel right side of steering column. Also ck voltage to flasher.

The only flasher that we have found is on the far right side of the steering column. There is a small white square diode next to it that has nothing to do with the turn signal. Is there another flasher on the passenger side? Haven't dropped that panel yet as have been working on the ouboard.

Do the 4 way flashers work? I will almost bet you lost a ground somewhere maybe in the steering column.

8 times out of 10 when the lights don't work it has something to do with a ground wire{if it's not the bulb}. This vehichle is old enough to have this problem{I've even seen new ones that have bad grounds}
