Re: CC Permits

Uhhhh....... not required in VT.

I do know that the Florida permit is reciprocal with about 43 other states...... you should inquire what other states recognize your permit.

I've got mine here is MA. I had to perform 3 miracles then show a card trick to the governor to get it.

Re: CC Permits

There are currently only 39 states that allow CC. Here are the states that honor the SC permit:

WITH A SC PERMIT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CARRY IN THE FOLLOWING STATES

NORTH CAROLINA, TENNESSEE, ARKANSAS, LOUISIANA, TEXAS, ALASKA, OHIO, MICHIGAN, WYOMING, VIRGINIA, KENTUCKY, INDIANA, MISSOURI, OKLAHOMA, ARIZONA, UTAH, IDAHO, MONTANA, NEW MEXICO, SOUTH DAKOTA, VERMONT, FLORIDA (added Sept. 08), KANSAS, NEBRASKA, WEST VIRGINIA

Other options are also available once you get your SC permit to add more states. You can get a New Hampshire non-resident permit and add NH, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Colorado, North Dakota, and Pennsylvania. You will also be eligible, once completing this class, to apply for a Florida CWP and add Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Colorado, Delaware, New Hampshire, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. The NH non-resident permit cost $100 but only requires one form to fill out and a copy of your SC CWP. The Florida permit runs about $118 and requires fingerprints and proof of training.

Here's
is a link to a web site that has numerous link to CC sites. There is a wealth of info if you care to look. Just click on the "Helpful Links" tabon the home page.

Re: CC Permits

Ayuh,... I got mine back in 82/83,...
Actually, I applied in 82,+ even with statutes in place saying it would be issued or denied in 6 months, it took nearly a whole year...

Here in Ny. it's good anywhere in Ny, Except the 5 counties making up NYC...
Which of course is the 5 counties you'd Most like to carry....
Down in the Big Apple, permits are issued by the city Police, who only issue to the Police, or retired police...

As far as I know, a Ny. permit is honored by Nobody but Ny.,+ Ny. honors Nobodies permit but their own...

Re: CC Permits

I had mine for a short period before I ended up in trouble and now unable to use it. It was really neat to walk into Wal-Mart packing heat. Although at 21 I was already mature enough to know that it was a last chance thing and that it didn't come out unless I was going to use it, period. I used my little .380 at qualifying, the only one under a .45. I also shot out the X at the bullseye better than any other as I didn't have to deal with the recoil. And they said that a .380 wasn't enough for concealed carry. Yea, right. I couldn't get anyone to volunteer to prove that to me.

Re: CC Permits

I've got a LTCF for my home state of Pa, and a non-resident from Utah. Combined they give me the ability to legally carry in something like 32 states.
Look here for a good Reciprocity Map:
