Each brand will have it's own harness, so you will most likely have to replace the old one, but the color coding is pretty standard and the installation instructions will spell it out, so the hook-up of the new harness should be pretty easy
Also, consider is a marine unit that is made for the water environment rather than an off-the-shelf car model, unless it is very protected and the boat is stored inside.
