cd10 need a little help please

my 54 5.5 jhnsn has spark, new condensers, new plugs, new wires, coils look good, points gapped,carb cleaned and rebulit. It started once before I rebuilt the carb and ran for about 20 seconds then wouldn't start again so I rebuilt carb. I pretty sure there were no mistakes in the rebuild. Now it won't start! Even when I squirt pre mix in the carb. it trys to turn over for a split second but never does. there is fuel in the bowl and in filter bowl? one thing though, it has the old two line tank and the primer button shoots gas out when I release it but it still fills the lines? Any suggestions?

Sounds like the spark is lacking there gain. Rig a spark tester with a 7/16" gap and see if each spark will jump it. If not, either the points need replace or you have a coil that ain't doin' ya' any good. Just a thought, the spark plug wires are on the right plugs aren't they?<br /><br />Diaphrams for the fuel tank are still available. Replace the one on the tank and that should cure the thumb pump problem.
