I have an ignition moduel, 6CB2012, neither A or B, on a 75 Chrysler 757HB 75hp that the semi transparent filler has "melted" or disolved. What causes this material to break down and "melt" for the lack of a better discriptive word? It wasn't heat as this was a spare motor on a stand in my garage over the past year that I haven't even run. Any ideas? iboats charts do not list this motor year for a replacement. Is there a replacement available? Thanks SFE

Re: CDI moduel melt down

Not familiar, but here is a diagram, and a link to the parts that Mercury still sells for the 757HB
