This morning on the way in to work one of the local radio station claimed to have a news update from the Mississippi Department of Communications.....claiming that on any major through fare in the Jackson, MS metro area, if you are driving 55mph or faster and talking on your cell phone. That will cut off after 30 seconds of talk time.

After I got to work a young lady I work with heard the same thing on the same station and called her mother and asked her to just stay on the phone with her. She said hers cut off after about 30 seconds.

I tried calling my wife to test this while on my way to work but as luck would have it I hit a spot in the interstate where the traffic slowed to under 55.

Yall think theres any truth to this? I can't find a State Department of Communications listed on the states web site.
