This is not a dumb question, it is an old person question.

Will my cell phone work in Hawaii? Can I call home? Can I call numbers there?

Thanks for your patience. :)

Should work perfect, just like at home. :) You might be on roaming, depending on your provider/plan though.

Ditto to ZmOz. JB most nationwide plans exclude Alaska and Hawaii. Your phone will work but you will pay. Use it judiciously and keep it turned off so you don't have to pay for any incoming calls.

When I took a cruise last year to Bermuda, I called Verizon to ask them if my cell phone would work. They had to set it up for me but it worked fine. Like has been said about...I was still roaming and it was expensive. I would suggest you call your cell phone provider.

Both of my brothers live in Hawaii. My Alltel phone works there no problem, can call Hawaii numbers and numbers back home when I'm there.

They use a different service provider (I believe it's Sprint) and they love it, good coverage, can call anywhere.

I'd give your phone customer service a shout and be sure there isn't any problem with your network in Hawaii.

Good luck and have fun.

What cell service do you have?

I have Cingular, not that I think their the best co, but I have added international calling, my phone has worked better in some countries than here in the US.

Hawaii has been no problem, 'cept when I went to Molokai and some spots on Kauai.

I like Cingular because you can dial the local No's where your at without adding the area code.
