Centurion good boats?

Hi, I am considering purchasing a centurion boat (engine in the middle, I think it's a direct drive). I'm not familiar on the quality of these boats, it is a 1995 with about 800 - 900hours on the engine. Please give an opinion about these boats? I've only owned bayliner boats.

Thanks in advance.

These inboard ski boats are known to ride a bit rougher than v hull. If you are a water skier then this is what you are looking for. Flat wakes and plenty of torque to pull. This can't be met by boats with outdrives. These boats are well built and relatively easy to maintain. It depends on what you like, as well as where you are giong to use it. Great for smaller lakes and rivers. If you prefer to cruise, I suggest a v bottom with sterndrive.

Top of the line ski/wakeboard boat, that one has some average, maybe high hours on it. MUCH better build quality than your average Bayliner. Many were equipped with a ballast system to pump fresh water on board to trim the wake. They are ski boats by design, and very good ones. But with any used boat purchase, invest in a good professional looking over before stepping up. They love flat water and aren't great general purpose craft. I've got a couple of friends that have them and they seem to hold up well.

If you want to use it for wake boarding you better make sure it has the kind of wake you want. That boat may be a straight ski boat from that vintage, which will have too flat of a wake for boarding without ballast.

Cheers

How would I know what kind of wake the boat creates? Is there a website where I can get these type of information?
