I gotta say.. this one is a snooze fest. The season starts with a 500 mile race, I would love to see it end with a 500 mile race.
I agree with that, they put the Super Bowl of racing at the head of the schedule. A lot of tradition. I don't think they'll change anytime soon.
Penske gets his first Cup title! Johnson's strategy looked like it could give him a title until he broke the rear gear. I wonder if frustration with having to come back in for a lug nut contributed to the gear failing. Maybe a little too hard on it after he served his penalty coming back to the track? Maybe not...
In only Brad's 3rd full time year in Cup and he has the championship. Good for him. Boyer ended up 2nd in points. I was hoping he would have caught Jeff before the end to see if they would have duked it out for the win. I would have put good cash down that there would have been some pushin' and shovin' to put it mildly......
An added bonus, Shrubby was 0 - 3 for the weekend.....
