Change fuel tank?

I would like to make this boat safe. I know there are many things I need to up-grade or repair on the boat, it is 27 years old.

Should I add replacing the fuel tank to my list?

Maybe a Polyethylene tank?

What kind of take is iT ?

And what shape is it in ?

If the orginal install was good and it stayed dry it may be fine IF it got wet a LOT it may have a problem
