Morning Guys

I just recently had a new 2007 VMAX HPDI 250 put on my bass boat after drowning the first one in a boating accident.

First of all the dealer supplied the boat with Yamaha Digital guages, the tachometer has two cream coloured plugs at the rear of the guage. But I can not find anywhere that these two plugs should plug into. The dealer then arranged for two adapter plugs to be sent to me to adapt the old Digital guages to the new motor. The only plug I can find at the motor end with the same fitting is already plugged in and blue in colour.

The dealer would have finished the boat on the Friday when i collected it but Yamaha sent them the wrong adapter cable. And I had to take the boat that weekend to fish Divisionals and the dealer is quite a tow away from me.

The Trim guage and my oil level is not functioning and flashing. I can post the cable part # later but do not have them with me now.

Can anyone please tell me what I am missing ?

Re: Change in Signal Wires

The motor came off the outmount at quite some speed, luckily no one was hurt in the accident but the damage to the motor was too extensive to repair and still have the reliability and assurance that electrical circuits might fry at a later stage due to corrosion.

We have pondered over this for quite some time and could only come up with the conclusion that someone tried to nick the motor and could not finish the job since the motor came off with not a bolt anywhere to be seen, maybe sheered off one or two of the remaining bolts.
