Hi All

I changed the impellor on my Alpha 1 and topped up the oil in the reservoir I have since noticed small drips of oil coming from some where around (not from) the gear shift and speedo connection but can't trace this have left if for over a week and the levels on the reservoir have dropped slightly do I have a leak or could this be residue from the change and the oil settling?

Thanks in advance

Did you remember the quad oil seal between the units?
Just the impeller or the kit with a new base?

Yes made sure that was there and it was just the impeller as the boat is just 4 years old.

sounds like a leak. When you split the unit was there oil on the driveshaft.(upper seal bad)
shift shaft seal, water pump base seals. not much else to leak

No oil really some came out of the upper unit but was told that was normal? I can see the shift shaft and that looks dry. So looks like I am taking it off again!

Thanks for the help
