Heres what i get :
idle (cold) 840rpm
idle (hot) 960rpm
plane 1/2 throttle - 16.6mph - 4500rpm
plane 3/4 throttle - 18.8mph - 5450rpm
plane full throttle (WOT) with headwind - 21.6mph - 6180rpm - 6240rpm
plane WOT with tailwind - 22.6mph - 6300pm

Does that seem normal ? All speeds by GPS, RPMs with cheap chinese tachometer.
Default prop, 15 HP 4 stroke 2011 mercury.

Manual says 5000-6000 rpm is the full throttle rpm range so a bit worried. Motor seems normal (bit quieter after oil change).

I'd have somebody check your cheap Chinese tach against a shop tach so you know how accurate it is. Otherwise you're just in the dark.
