Grease the propshaft while the prop is off.....Lubriplate white grease is popular and is waterproof. Not sure about the rest of your question. Obviously you need a thrust washer for the prop to push against, the prop, a nut to lock it on and usually there is a locking device (cotter pin or tang ring) to keep the nut on.
Some props require a particular thrust washer as compared to OEM and as Sparkie said, may come with the prop. As I recall I bought a Turning Point once that had the replaceable hub and as I recall it had a thrust washer with it as the length of the prop connecting to the shaft was of a different length from OEM Mercs with their permanent hub and the new washer made up for that....otherwise use your old one.
