I am trying to change the prop on a 1970 johnson 25 hp motor. This is a sheer pin prop so I though that it would be easy but I can't get the prop off the shaft. Should the prop just slide off? Any Ideas.
you have the shear pin and nut off?
and there should be a plate that the nut holds on, which comes off after you take the nut off.
after that, it should just slide right off.
maybe it is rusted on there?
