changing teleflex steering to tiller on 2002 Mercury 25hp.

I have an elderly buyer that wants to purchase my Mercury 25hp outboard, but my motor is designed for teleflex steering and the customer wants to turn it into a tiller. Is there a kit out there that will accomplish this task? Thanks.

Even though this isn't a repair problem I think you will get more answers in the Merc repair section.
Any problems tell them it was my suggestion. I can tell you the Merc 50 had and perhaps still has a tiller conversion.
I had a 77 50 I added a conversion tiller and I Bought the neighbors 1965 50 that he converted.
I would call the merc dealer and see what they say.

Is it a 2 stroke engine ? If so, will need to know if that model is a rebadged Tohatsu or Yam 25 HP version. Is it like this one ? If so, it's a Tohatsu.

Tiller conversion kit for 2002 25 hp 2 stroke models is part# 821468A7- $425. Conversion kit for 4 stroke models is part# 821455A26- $565.
