When replacing the hoses that go to the thermostat housing, is there any special sealant needed or is just putting back the ring clamps sufficient?
Thanks

Re: changing thermostat

Some guys will use Permatex others don't. I just double clamp mine and have never had an issue with them leaking. My .$02

Re: changing thermostat

Put them back on as normal with the clamps. A good tip is to remove any rust/scale on the inlets with a wire brush and clean the inside ends of the hose. All should be good. Using a sealant on the hose connections will just make for a messy and hard time when you want/need to take them off again.
