changing Volvo stock exhaust to through hull

Hi, I'm considering going to through hull on my old Volvo 260A (350 chevy)...

any comments on difficulty, noise increase, power increase?

I wan to do this also. From what I have read there is no performance gain, it will be louder, and the biggest problem is reversion (or maybe if you find your transom is rotted when you drill the holes).

Ayuh,... L_S pretty much has read the truth of it...
Dependin' on whatever manifolds, 'n risers you're starting with, they may need replacin', or not...

Definitely LOUDER, 'n No performance gains...

Possibly even a performance loss, due to loss of scavenging effect.

what is the "scavenging effect"?
