Is it OK to charge a trolling motor battery in the boat? I thought I read somewhere the battery should be removed from the storage compartment in the boat and charged at a different location. Seems somewhat resonable with the fuel tank in the boat but it will be somewhat a pain in the butt.
Just about everyone charges there car or truck with the battery in place. Anybody have any resonable opinions? Thanks...

Its done every day. Hook up the charger, then plug it in. When done unplug then disconnect. An on board charger is much better. When you are done fishing, plug it in and forget it til you are ready to go again.
