I charged my batt. for 24 hrs at 2 amps. The batt. chargedd to 12.53 volts. The sides of the batt. case are bulging. Is this something to worry about?

Re: Charging Battery

I think it might be time to get a new battery. It's called thermal runaway and happens during charging of the battery. Check battery for leaks. This will shorten the life of the battery if allowed to happen repeatedly.

Re: Charging Battery

The water has boiled out and the lead plates have warped the walls. Buy a new battery and a AUTOMATIC charger and use it by the instructions provided. Do not use a Manual mode on a charger. It causes what happened.

Re: Charging Battery

Invest in a good on board charger. They are made to take good care of your battery, plus the convienience, just back her up and plug her in. Next morning your ready to go.

lee
