Charging issue/trim pump issue. Bizarre issue????

I have a 1996 volvo cobra SX 5.0L Fuel injected engine that is having some issues. when I get the boat on plane, I adjust the out drive to get the proper plane, when I do this the alternator belt starts to smoke. the belt is new and tight. The battery gauge reads 14.7 volts. I double checked it with the volt meter and it reads 14.7 volts. Even at idle it reads 14.7 volts. Does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram so I can trace my wiring? Also, how many amps should the trim pump need?
