new Battery, still not charging. Any suggestions

Just been down that track. Stator . Some dodgy wiring under the flywheel failed and cooked the stator. All the best Mike,

1) how old is the battery, 2) My tach was reading like 9-11 and was always bounting around, thought it was the rectifier, it wasn't finally had my checked out my tach, it was broke, start small, tack, then check charging system, battery when running, rectifier, then stator,
