Chase Race 4

'Dega baby........ They're are a lot of drivers who need 'Dega to shake up the guys in the Chase. Right now it appears to be down to 3 horses. Bet your bottom dollar that Johnson will ride around in the back all day. I wonder if the other 2 front runners will be back there too?

Just watched Dover. Turned out to be a fuel mileage race and only 6 drivers on the lead lap. That early caution really hung out a bunch of drivers who didn't have the opportunity to recover.

Looking forward to tomorrow.........

Tape it? The first and last 20 is "usually" the best part anyway........ I'm going to DVR it and watch it later. Buzz thru all the commercials to cut the viewing time down. I'll watch football in the mean time..... I've been to that track a handful of times. Long haul from Lake Superior....

I live about 10 mi. from the 'Dega track and it's a cluster flock right now, gonna wait 'til 1 pm. when the race starts to run out and pick up a few supplies.

I can imagine. We would get there not later than 8:30/9am. So going in wasn't bad at all. We knew of some back roads. Stayed off the interstate. Now leaving the track was a different story. We grilled supper and hung out for awhile. Didn't leave until security on horses booted out everyone left.... We had 16?F last nite. The whole family was talking about we should be in 'Bama right now. The kid was ready to leave instantly....

Interesting too, they have 'copter(s) flying around the area all in the name of security....

It's 64*F with a stiff 15 mph breeze here right now, some folks might get a little chilly.

Not only do the have 'copters flying around, they have a couple of fighter jets flying around too. Sometimes it's the A 10 Warthogs and I enjoy watching them fly over the house low and slow.

Who knows. Sometimes it doesn't happen. That's rare tho. It's happened(not) when we've been at the track. You almost feel cheated....

Kurt "still" doesn't get it. He doesn't have a clue. Talk about a loose cannon, still. You wreck, you have the safety crew all around your car. They have some safety equipment in a pack on your deck lid and you drive away? Then NASCAR tells you to stop and you keep driving. He had to go to the infield care center. He knows it. I bet Furniture Row wasn't too thrilled that their name was mentioned during Kurt's little fiasco. That's who he's racing for starting next week. Done with Finch as of today. NASCAR parked him. He needs to be parked outside these tracks. At least he admitted he brings on some of this stuff himself( I would say most). Today was one of those times.

What an ending. At least 20 cars in the "big one". Seen a lot of big wrecks at that track. This one topped the list. Tony screwed up. Waltrip had a huge run and Tony dropped down too late. Still looks like a 3 horse race. Gordon finished 2nd again and only gained a couple points on the leader... Moved up 4 spots to 6th.... Burton ended up 10th. He was looking good during most of the race. Finished 2nd a year ago.

Plate racing is sooooo flippin' stoooopid!! I am just glad it was Tony's fault. Maybe that will knock him off his high horse. I doubt it. The worse thing is I like it, and I can't figure out why. On the edge of my seat for sure. But you can't have races always end like this. Not good for teams, Chase, integrity etc. Maybe it's good for the fans, which should be #1, but something isn't right with this idiocy. Oh, like I always say, what's not right is Daytona and Talladega. Need to flatten them out.


Busch(es) is(are) Busch(es), but note he doesn't have to go to the infidel care center if he can drive his car. What he did was ridiculous, but if you can't drive the car, you go in the ambulance. That part was not the problem. Endangering the safety crew, and driving without the helmet (couldn't hear stop command), that will all get him in trouble for sure.

Sure. But usually the driver doesn't get out of his car. They fire it back up and try to roll away. If they can't get it started, or, it wont roll, then they get out and take a ride to the care center. Busch did get out and was going to take that ride until he found out he could still drive his car. Jumped back in with the EMT's/safety crew members around his car and 1 guy leaning on the passenger side and took off with the EMTs bag flying off the car. To me he committed himself to the care center when he got out of the car with the safety crew members present.

It was just another bonehead move by a bonehead....
