Was wondering if there is a good place to buy refurbished propellers, Or if any company even does this? I mess with allot of older OMC motors and would like to keep a few extra props on hand as I often try to get these old beaters up and running and then sell them. allot of times the props are in hideous shape, So I am just looking for a basic replacement prop to make the motor usable. mostly for 9.9/15 and up to 55hp jonny/rudes Is there like china made props, cheap aftermarket stuff on the market these days that anyone knows of? any info, thanks up-front

Re: Cheap propellers ?

New 9.9/15 props here at iboats are less than $50 + shipping.50 hp less than 100.
With props being specific to the application I wonder about prop size you would get.
My 50 on a 18ft 375 lb utulity uses a 19" pitch I think the typical application would use a 13 or 15".
The 9.9 and 15 use the same base prop. And usually are on a boat appropriate to the motor.
If I was selling a refurbished motor I would hesitate to put a used prop on it unless its a ratty motor at a ratty price..
You might check with any prop shops in your area they sometimes have props available at reduced prices.

Re: Cheap propellers ?

Thats what I'm trying for, to be able to put a known good prop on a old beater motor that I might only be able to get 300.00 for. Its the plus shipping that is the issue. I live on Kodiak Island Alaska. There is no prop shop, or Outboard shop on the island for older outboards. And I agree Iboats seems to be the best deal I have seen so far as far as the 9.9/15.
