Check a power pack?

How do you check a power pack on 73 50 hp rude. Getting 220v far as i can tell coming in from stator. No out put. am i checking it right. aint gettin no sppark at the plugs. no powr to coils. help help help must fish must fish

you have 220v coming from the stator.
did you check the kill switch circuit?

if thats good ---->

-check the trigger.
if you have 4 to 6v from the trigger your trigger and stator are good.

if stator, kill switch circuit and trigger are all good than replace the pp.

What are these things and where are they located on the motor? I'm a dummy when it comes to outboards, trying to learn though. Can i unhook a wire from the power pack that will disable the kill?
