cause someones brother in law manufactures them and needs the income.<br /><br /> nah<br /> actually the coast gaurd states that if any section of the fuel line goes below the top of the tank an antisiphon device must be installed at the tank outlet.<br /> its caused many headaches. if I can I usually try to modify the fuel system so no lines go below the top of the tank. if that is possible you can eliminate the valve. otherwise it has to be there. someplace the coast gaurd gives the formula for the vacum break depending on line size and level the line goes below the top of the tank.
