Picked up a 1985 glass starcraft V 191 B i/o as a donor boat. Problem is it looks to good to scrap,if there's no rot.. Floors fine, frt motor mount fair, keyhole area fine. 1 each side' 1 inch holes through glass wrapped stringers, low, 8 inches forward of transom, damp but solid. I'm curious were these intended for inspection? I bored 2 3/8 holes 1/2 deep low inside the transom, good wood. Anyone have any advise for other checks? If the stern area is ok do I need to tear it up farther forward?
