Anyone have any suggestions for checking a VRO pump. I putting a used VRO/fuel pump on my 87 70 horse Evinrude and want to be sure that I don't blow the dang thing.

I am considering mixing the gas that I have in the boat now and later checking the oil usage in the resevoir. Is double the oil gonna make it run bad? Is there an easier way to be sure the I am getting oil in the mix?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Checking VRO pump

ya mix the gas at 50-1 and put a mark on your oil tank run then when you run out of gas look at mark on tank and see if your using oil double oil won't hurt anything might smoke and you might notice some oil coming out exhaust
