I have a Chevy 305 that ending up getting so much water in the oil that it started spitting oil out of the dipstick. What’s the best way to check the head gasket and block without tearing it all apart first? Is there a way to pressure test the whole engine to help determine where I need to start? Is there any other way water could get in the oil besides head gasket or block? Thanks.

It's not the head gasket, most likely a thermal declination induced material breach

Pressure test the cooling system. Block off the hoses to the manifolds, and the hose to the transom shield. Pressurize to 15 psi. It should forever
