All, I chewed up my alm. prop. Darn pile of rocks or something right off the ramp. Had about 15 launches from the ramp and it's the first time I found them.

I will be buying a new prop and sending the old Turing Point 14 1/4 X 17 out for repair. I have been looking at buying the Solas Rubex 14 4/5 X 17. I know this size will fit.

The question is, I currently operate at the bottom of WOT of 4400 when I am loaded but with less fuel and gear, I increase up to the mid to higher end of about 4700. If I increase the diameter of th prop, what can I expect from WOT? I am sure that different manufacturer of props will change rpm a bit as well.

Mec 4.3L MPI 220hp Alpha I Gen II. WOT Range - 4400 - 4800 and I run 4400 to 4700 depending on load

You're only going up a half of an inch. That's only an eighth of an inch on each side of the hub. I doubt you'll notice any difference. Just keep the excessive weight down.

Thanks for the info. I didn't think the .183" per balde would have made much difference.

I'll start throwing my four kids and wife overboard to lighten the load. :D

Just don't leave out the cooler of adult beverages. Thats one of the main reasons to own a boat. Girls in bikinis are the other! :)
