choke adjustment

hello i have an 1979 Evinrude 85hp model 85995r. i am trying to find out what gap should i leave with my fealer gauge when adjusting the choke?

Gap on what. When the choke is activated the butterflies should be completely closed. Otherwise they should be completely open.

Thanks that makes life easyer I thought i read some where that there be a smale gap.
