I have a 2001 Mercruiser 3.0 L with electric choke. What are the steps to adjust for starting hard when cold? Do you first advance the throttle and then see where the choke is sitting? Or do I just move the throttle and see where the choke plate sits? I ran a search but none of the posts say whether they are touching the throttle first??

Re: Choke adjustment

My best luck has been to adjust the choke plate so it just closes on a cold engine. You should pump the throttle once before setting the choke on a cold engine. Good luck, welcome to the site.
