is it possible for the solenoid to stick or do you have to replace it it works sometimes and others it do'nt. also rebuilt carbs and motor does not like to take fuel slow but will take it full throttle with a little hesitation and when trying to put on trailer bogs out completely then restarts but will die again because of slow throttle application . what's up I should tell you this is a 1985 Merc 75hp

Twitch,

Welcome to iBoats.

Sounds like you're running a bit lean. Have you tried opening the idle mixture screws? 'Bout 1/4 of a turn to start with.

Chris..........

Twitch,

Best investment you can make is in a service manual. The idle mixture screws are located on the carburetor. You'll have to remove the air box cover first. Exactly the same principle as a car engine.

Chris..............
