I have an 89 Chapparral w/Mercruiser 4.3. It has and electric choke and I noticed the tab for the electrical connection has fatigued and broken off. I soldered back together but I don't trust it. How do I determine what part number it is. I've been look without complete success. Also, Can this part be crossed over to something I can get at an auto parts store?

Thanks for the responses,

Standard auto part? There are lots of variations in their parts books. Can I assume that as long as I find one that fits and has the electric connection it will work? I assume they all work the same? 12v goes to the element, heats it and opens the choke? So as long as the cold "preload" adjustment is correct it should operate properly?

Yeah, the Sierra price is crazy to me.
