Choke

I have an 1988 25hp Evinrude Tiller handle, I think the choke is on the handle, am I right or is the choke somewhere else? My Merc had the coke where the primer pump is on this one??<br />Thanks

Hi Springbok,<br /> Your motor doesn't have a choke - just the primer. You must operate the primer several times to get it going. Simply holding it out or operating it just once isn't enough.<br /> If you'd rather choke it, be prepared to pull the cowling and stuff a rag in the carb throat...<br />- Scott
