I'm having issues with getting my ignition to start my engine... I have already replaced the ignition switch, kill switch, and a new starter relay... I am still having issues with the engine not turning over. I am getting power to all my accessories along with the gauges. If I run a remote starter with power directly to the solenoid from the battery it cranks over. I had the same issue with the original kill switch and ignition switch. Not sure how to test or what to test to see where my issue is.

Most kill switches turn power off to the gauges and motor, but does not kill power to the start relay. In short, motor will crank, just not start.

The start circuit goes from the key yellow/red wire, thru the neutral safety switch, to the start relay. Turn key to start and move the throttle FWD/REV slightly to see if it will crank. If it doesn't crank, check wiring going to start relay.

Which 4.3 do you have?

4.3 GL-A, Carbureted engine. Turning the key in the ignition does nothing at all. Are you thinking its the neutral safety switch causing my issue? The wiring does not have any breaks or splits in it. The purple wire that comes from the kill switch has 12.5 volts.

Battery of course is brand new, no issue with the battery at all.

Power comes from motor to ignition 20 amp fuse
Fuse to key switch red/purple
Key purple to kill switch
Kill switch to gouges and back to the motor

Having 12v on both sides of kill switch and no gouges means broken wire between the two. Hand trace the purple

I only checked the purple on the motor side, not at the dash side. I did not check the voltage at the actual kill switch itself.

My gauges are operational, not sure if gouges was referring to gauges instead.

I have no idea what you have or don't have

If gauges turn on, have 12V on coil but the issue is it won't crank then
