I cannot for the life of me find the year of my motor. The tag is clearly visible and says 105HP. However, the cover says 100. I don't know if that normal. It used to pur like a kitten but after sitting for about 5 yrs it doesn't want to fire up. I replaced all the plugs, replaced all fuel lines, cleaned the carbs and the fuel filter. It acts like it wants to turn over but doesn't quite get there. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Distributor caps are usually marked.---1 to 4.------Or you put #1 to the top and see where rotor is pointing.-----Or maybe the belt timing is off.

Having trouble turning it over: low compression on one or more cyl, the gears in lower rusted, timing way off, bad/weak battery, bad battery cable, bad connection????
First thing I'd do is a compression test. IF??? the compression is good?(all 4 within 5-10# of each other). Then get a factory service manual.

Factory service manual....spend the money to get one.....take the time to read it. Best source of info for your engine and is always available.....
