I was running my 10hp Chrysler today on a 12ft rowboat and the motor did not want to get very good rpms. Anything over 1/4 throttle caused it to bog down and quit. Any ideas?

Welcome Gunnysack.
Please include the year or model/ serial # when posting.
Sounds like the fuel system is starving for gas??.
Check/ replace the fuel pump diaphragm.
Check/ replace the fuel squeezie and the connector at the motor.
The connector at the motor has rubber seals and they go bad and it sucks air at that point.
The squeezie has a valve it can stop the gas from flowing.
Rebuild/ clean the carb.
Install a small filter between the carb and the pump, stops a lot of problems.
