Hi,

I have a Chrysler 3.6 hp outboard. The recoil starter engages poorly / not at all. I've looked inside the recoil unit, and the "starter cup / ring" is worn to a point where the pawls do not grip when the cord is pulled. Does anybody know where to get spares in the UK please?

As far as I can make out the numbers on the engine are 320C & 4085. Don't know year of manufacture. Grateful if anybody can advise.

Thanks,

Shep65

Re: Chrysler 3.6hp recoil

Thanks for replies guys, I've attached some pictures.

Outside sia of cup = 73mm
inside dia = 50mm
internal depth = 32mm
external depth = 35mm.

rechecked model number using magnifying glass, it's 32HC, which as far as I can find from this site, http://www.maxrules.com/ChryslerModels/3p5_9p2.html
is a 1974 to 1977 model, ser no is 4085.

Thanks,

Shep65.
